Hands-on relief

Massage Therapy

A hands-on treatment for body and nervous system alike.

Massage therapy is a hands-on treatment involving manipulation of soft tissue structures to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort and muscle spasm. It supports recovery, deep relaxation, and long-term physical wellbeing.

By stimulating a series of specific points in a sequence, the entire nervous system (spine) is relaxed and therefore the whole body. This enables the spine to be gently moved and adjusted, allowing an alignment of the hips or loosening of vertebrate, all with no pain or cracking.

By opening up the gaps in the spine, blood is able to enter and nourish the nerve endings, thus stimulating the connected body parts and organs. A deep sense of relaxation and calm is experienced by the recipient and muscle tension is greatly reduced also.

Acupressure is an effective treatment on it's own, but is greatly enhanced when combined with massage.

The techniques taught to Paul from Jason Xu in Wellington originate from the Qing Dynasty in China.
